Small Plane Crashes Near Doylestown Airport—Pilot Miraculously Unharmed (Update)

A single-engine plane overturned while attempting an emergency landing near the Doylestown Airport, but the pilot miraculously escaped without injuries, officials said.

Emergency Response

First responders were dispatched around 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, to the 3800 block of Old Easton Road, where they found the aircraft upside down in a gravel parking lot, according to Buckingham Township Police.

Pilot’s Account

Authorities said the male pilot was able to exit the plane on his own and reported experiencing mechanical issues shortly after takeoff. He had attempted to return to the airport before the crash, police said.

Investigation Underway

The FAA has taken over the investigation, with Buckingham officials assisting at the scene.
